Important shipping info for U.S. customers
Shipping Update for U.S. Customers
As of August 26, 2025, Austrian Post has suspended all parcel shipments to the United States.
This is due to a change in U.S. customs policy, and it affects all sellers based in Austria and other European countries.
What this means for you:
- We still ship to the U.S., but only through premium couriers like UPS, DHL or FedEx.
- We have temporarily set a flat shipping fee of €100 at checkout.
- This fee is not final. After your purchase, we will:
- Find the best shipping option
- Calculate the actual shipping cost
- Refund you if it’s cheaper, or contact you if the cost is higher
Import Taxes
Due to new U.S. regulations, you will be required to pay import duties when your parcel arrives.
- These typically range from 10% to 15% of the item’s value, depending on the product and your state.
- The charges are collected by U.S. customs or the courier.
- We cannot include or prepay these charges on your behalf.
If you refuse to pay
If you decline the customs duties upon delivery, the package may be returned to us or destroyed by U.S. customs. In either case, return costs or losses will be your responsibility.
Why is this happening?
The U.S. government has eliminated the previous tax exemption for low-value international shipments. As a result, all goods entering the U.S. must now go through full customs clearance, even if the items are second-hand or vintage.
