Straight out of a James Bond suitcase and into your bathroom shelf: this red Braun Rallye Shaver is the kind of travel shaver that could only exist in 1972 (or 1962, because it was first sold in black, designed by Gerd Alfred Müller and Hans Gugelot).
It comes in its original black travel case, complete with mirror, brush, coiled cable, and a protective cap. And the best part? It still works perfectly. The only flaw: a tiny plastic component that holds the shaving head in place has a break. But don’t worry — everything stays securely in place. We’ve tested it and it runs smoothly.
Oh, and if you need them you can also add two unopened original Braun replacement blades, sourced from Vienna’s last official Braun service shop — now closed, like many of the good things.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with one broken interior piece (visible in photos) that doesn’t affect function. Comes with original travel case, mirror, cable, and brush. Fully functional.
Details:
• Model: Braun Rallye Shaver
• Designed and made in Germany
• Period: 1970s
• Colour: Red
• Includes: case with mirror, cable, brush, protective cap.
• European plug
• Voltage: European standard (adapter may be needed for other regions)
Please note: this shaver comes with a European plug and was manufactured in 1962. As with any vintage electrical item, it is sold as a collector’s piece rather than for daily use. That said, it is a functional travel model with adjustable voltage, so with the appropriate adapter or converter, it can still be used — though care must be taken, especially outside Europe (e.g. in the US).
