Designed in 1969 by Ettore Sottsass and Perry King, the Olivetti Valentine is more than just a typewriter — it’s an industrial design manifesto in bold, unapologetic red. Made for people who hate typewriters (or so they claimed), this is now a cult piece collected by museums, fashion houses, and anyone with a taste for revolutionary design.
This unit features a French AZERTY keyboard, all original parts, and comes with its iconic red ABS plastic carry case. No broken pieces, no replacements. Just the kind of honest wear you want in a real vintage piece: visible surface marks, especially on the plastic upper cover above the typebar section, and on the outer case, as clearly shown in the photos.
Still a showstopper. Still completely badass. Whether you’re writing your memoirs or just letting it sit pretty on a bookshelf, this Valentine is here to make a statement.
Condition: Good vintage condition. Fully functional. All parts are original. Light scratches and signs of wear, especially on the plastic upper panel above the typebar area and the outer shell.
Year: 1969–1970s
