Philips table or wall fan made in Holland between 1964 and 1970. Beige plastic base and anthracite gray plastic body. Beige elastic PVC blades. Beige cord. It has two speeds and the body can rotate on the base support.
The fan is in working order with original wiring.
According to the original description of the Philips Manual for specialized dealers 1969/70 the HZ 5170 is "a modern and stable table and wall fan with particularly quiet operation and two speed levels. The blades are made of elastic PVC, which means that it is completely safe to reach them".
Two types of HZ 5170 are known to date. With type 1 the holder is beige, with type 2 it is anthracite-coloured, translucent plastic. Ours is type 1.
