The lamp is in generally good condition and shows everyday signs of use appropriate for its age. However, there is damage to the internal light bulb holder, which is not visible and does not affect its functionality.

In Telegono, a table lamp with reflected light with a powerful sculpted design, the orientation of the light on the surface plane can be modified through a swivelling semi-lampshade hinged to the body of the lamp that acts as an eyelid. Manufactured in two plastic materials, the body in free-standing matte melamine and the eyelid shade in opalescent PMMA, the lamp was originally produced in four colors: white, black, red. orange.

The Milanese architect and designer Vico Magistretti was a representative of Rationalism and a significant Italian designer of the 20th century. After obtaining his architecture diploma in 1945, he immediately joined his father's studio and actively participated in the post-war reconstruction efforts. As a co-founder of the Association for Industrial Design in 1956, he played a crucial role in shaping the design of lamps, chairs, and tables. Magistretti received numerous national and international awards, including recognition as a member of the Academy of San Luca in Rome and the Royal College of Art in London.

Funny side note: The Telegono lamp was featured in the Ikea catalog since 1971.
